Tucker Martin (00:01)
Hey guys, welcome to Ranch Ramblin, the Cowboy Gals podcast. I'm Tucker. I'm your host, the Cowboy Gal behind Ranch Ramblin. I'm super excited to have you here listening. And if you're new here, just a little bit of what we're about is I am a ranch wife and mama looking to create a community of cowgirls, horse girls, ranch wives, moms, or cowgirls at heart that inspire support.

connect with each other, push each other out of our comfort zones. I am looking to create change in the world, link arms with women in the industry. Everyone is welcome here. I've actually got some feedback over the last few episodes that even the husbands are enjoying listening to the podcast with their wives. So everyone is welcome. Just because it is the Cowboy Gals podcast doesn't mean that we're excluding anybody.

Um, anyways, I am just really excited for where this podcast is going and the people that I'm going to meet along the way and hopefully, um, connect with a lot of you sooner than later. And, uh,

And, you know, make some, make some waves together. So, um, with that, I'm excited for this week's podcast. Um, I have, if you've been around here at all for very long, you know that I'm big on mindset, personal development, things like that. And, um, I came across something the other day that just really got my wheels to turn in because.

I am all about believing in where you're going and you know, having a dream and setting goals and working toward that dream and, and you know, there's, there's bigger things than what we allow ourselves to think sometimes. And, and so creating that dream, finding that vision, whatever it is for you, you know, you can create the life you want and.

become your best self and that's what I'm all about. And so this phrase that I read the other day was, dreams are for children, goals are for men. The essence of this post was basically, dreams are for people that aren't serious about where they're going.

And if you, if you really want to see some results, you got to set goals, quit talking about the dreams. And I, that bothered me because here's why. I believe that goals are a powerful tool, but what good is the goal? If you don't know where you're going, how do you know what goal you want to set? If you don't know what you're working toward. And to be fair, I believe this post was.

Intended to say that a lot of people talk about the dream and then never get around to the action. So then the dream is pointless. Right. And so to be fair, I think that's what, where this post was trying to go. Um, but that statement at the very end got just really got my wheels turning. And I was like, no dreams are like dreams are cool. Like without a dream there's.

There's no purpose. And, um, so as I'm like mulling this over, I had some conversations with a bunch of good friends, um, and some mentors this week. And as this concept has been on my mind, you know, I'm always talking about growing and where we want to go and, and what you focus on, you get more of. So let's focus on the positive, let's focus on where we're headed, all that kind of stuff. This quote, um, they ran across this quote by Thomas S. Monson.

It says vision without work is daydreaming. Work without vision is drudgery. Vision coupled with work will ensure success. How cool is that? Right. And I thought, how perfect is that quote to go with this concept of, of the dreams and, and to me that dream dreaming, you know, the dream, the vision that's kind of, that's an interchangeable word. Um,

as far as I'm concerned. And you've got to have that big vision. You've got to have that big dream because...

Because we're looking for way more than the drudgery, right? Like that's such a good word. Like I love that. I love that in this quote, work without vision is drudgery. So think about that. Are you excited to wake up in the morning and go clock in and work for your eight hour shift?

I mean, maybe you are, and that's awesome. Um, but I personally know far more people who are not entirely a hundred percent happy with where they're at and work without vision is drudgery. You guys, if you're clocking in with the vision and the dream and you're clocking in at your current job is a step on the way to financial freedom, to time freedom.

to your health, to that ideal lifestyle, then that's awesome. And it's probably not entirely a drudgery, right? It's a step along the way. And the dream doesn't eliminate all aspects of work. You have got to be willing to put in some effort and some action and take the steps to get to get where you want to go. But drudgery, we don't want to get stuck there, right?

Work without vision is a drudgery. Where's your dream? Like, what do you want? Where are you going? Because if you can identify that, even if nothing tangibly changes in your current circumstances, your job stays the same, your salary stays the same, your, um, you know, time you clock in your hours, the job description stays the exact same. If you have a vision.

not going to be drudgery because it's a step along your way. If you do not have a vision, there's very little excitement. I'm willing to bet that if you don't have a vision, you feel a little bit like you're in the movie Groundhog Bay. That doesn't seem fun to me. So that vision, that dream is so important.

I understand this initial statement that I started this whole thing off with. The dream's pointless unless you're willing to take steps toward it. And if you're willing to do that, then any of the steps you're taking toward it are not going to seem like drudgery. They're going to be a stepping stone. And it's going to change your perspective for where you're at. Again, with this scenario.

nothing actually changes in your circumstances except your mindset, everything will change for you. And this has been such a fun thing to put to work in my personal life and my business, even this podcast. This is just, it's so cool. And I mentioned a cool app that I had started using a few weeks ago. That is life changing, you guys. If you have.

any desire at all to pursue personal development. Um, please ask me about the app because, um, there it's going, it's got some really cool things planned for it. And also it has already implemented small habits that make big changes in my personal life, my businesses, my family. And you want to know what's cool is when you as an individual,

Begin stepping into that better version of yourself Working toward being the best you you can possibly be there is a power in that

And you will notice your circumstances, the people around you, they will adapt to the way that you're growing. Meaning if you're up here being positive and happy and you're so smiley, regardless of whatever's happening at work today, whatever's going on, you know, and I'm not saying, I'm not saying to be fake at all. That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying positive.

Um, when you're positive, when you have that growth mindset, when you are constantly trying to stay in that kind of vibration, then other people will either drift out of your life or raise their vibration to hang with you. And isn't that what we want? Right. We always talk about, you know, the ripple one person, one act one.

whatever this is affects, you know, miles and miles and miles out around it. And that, that ripple can be you, you know, who by you being your best self, you're going to benefit your family. You're going to benefit each individual in your family's friends and they'll benefit their friends. Do you see what I'm saying? It's this very cool, exponentially powerful concept. And.

This app has just been so cool with the habits that's implemented in my life. And, um, I'm really excited for, for where that app is going. I, I, a little birdie told me there's some really cool things in store for it. So, um, please ask me about that. If you have any desire at all to, to plug into a system like that, because it's not enough to read the books or read some books.

And then again, not take action, right? Action. Action is where the magic happens. And a little bit of action is magnified when you have a dream and a big belief in what you're doing and where you're going and the, how you guys is going to sort itself out. Like that's, you know, think big, think big and.

And don't sell yourself short. That's...

That's where I see a lot of people will get really hyped up and then not take any action because they think that they're not capable. And you guys, if you want it, go do it. There is no reason that any of us are not living or working toward living the life that we want.

And for me, that looks like I want to haul my girls down the road to the rodeos, to the rope ins. I want to start competing again. And in order for, for me to do that, in order for my girls to compete, we have got to have good horses, right? I have good horses. I don't, I don't currently have a horse I can enter on. Um, I want to be able to write that checkout for the horse that I know is going to take care of my little girls.

and teach them and help them, you know, grow and build confidence and things like that. And I want to write that check out and not worry about what's in my bank. I just want to write the check and say, Hey, thanks for this life -changing horse. Want to do that for myself, right? I want a nice horse. I can say, Hey, heck yeah. I'll head for you this weekend. Like let's go to the roping people. And then on top of that, I want my friend to call me and say, Hey.

There's a breakaway clinic in wherever the heck, you know, Wickenburg. You want to go this weekend? Yeah, sure. Right. That's what I want. I want the time freedom, the financial freedom, the health to go make memories. Right. And.

Your dream can do that. Don't give up on it. Like I always say, don't cut your dallys on that dream because that dream is going to give you the life you want. If you are willing to ask God for help, take the action and make it happen. You guys, that's all there is to it. It's there. You got to want it and you got to want it back. And it's a journey and you guys, it's not going to happen.

overnight or in three days, maybe not even three years, but it will happen. And the more things you can do to build your belief in yourself and the belief in where you're going, the faster that's going to happen. And the faster that belief is going to skyrocket and multiply and benefit you and those around you. And you, you're going to be blown away at what plays out for you when you make the decision to act.

and and dream and you know freaking put a loop on that sucker you know and trip her down like don't don't like there's no reason that we're not all working toward living living our dream or having this ideal lifestyle of of the ultimate thing i want a pencil and nice horses right i want a pasture full of broodmares bred to

You know, I can, my brain just exploded thinking of my dream board with all the studs on the thing. Um, anyways, you guys, it's possible it's out there. You gotta want it, but I promise you find a team that's going to build you up and push you out of your comfort zone. And hopefully this podcast does a little bit of that for, for some of you on here. And if you need a little extra push, I would love to connect you with my mentors. Um, I would love to help you.

get the app. I would love to help you just talk through something. I just you guys, this is I love this so much. That's what this podcast is all about. If you have something you want to share, please reach out to me because I want to allow you to share your story because your story might light somebody else's fire. And that's, that's the kind of growth I want. That's the kind of change that I'm looking to make. And so excited you're here. I'm so thankful to be here.

And until next time, you guys don't cut your dollies on that dream. Thanks for listening. Catch us next episode.
