Hey y 'all, you know when you have something in mind that you want to do that really fires you up, that excites you? Maybe a business move, maybe a life change, maybe just something you want to invest in, a class, you know, starting something new like that and you kind of get that knot in your stomach that creeps up and then you end up never doing anything about it, right? That's what we're talking about today. So if you're here,
You probably know what's going on here at the Ranch Ramblin podcast, but if you're new, I want to thank you for finding me and giving the show a shot. I have big, big plans and so this is going to be another solo episode, no guests today. However, the guests I have on the docket coming up are bomb and I do have some really, really big things in the works for Ranch Ramblin. More on that to come. I can't quite spill the beans yet, but...
I just want you to stay tuned and kind of be aware that some big things are coming and I'm just super thankful y 'all are here. So if you're new here, Ranch Rambling is a community that I am creating and building with the intention of inspiring, motivating, educating, pushing, and allowing other women in the ranch and in rural lifestyle to share their stories. And you know, hopefully,
light their spark maybe if it's gone out and if not share their story and light a spark in somebody else. So with that I'm so glad you're here. So no matter what walk of life you are in, Round Tramblin is for you even if you are the cowgirl at heart living in New York City. I'm super super glad you're here and I just I'm excited to talk about this today because
This is something that I have come back to over and over and over in my personal growth. And I just want to, I read this quote the other day that I'm just going to share, because I think it sums this up so perfectly. And it says, you're nervous because you're underprepared. It's hard to be nervous when you've actually done the same thing the same way a hundred times in a row.
Action alleviates anxiety. And I love that first and that last part. You're nervous because you're underprepared. Action alleviates anxiety. And along with that, I just, you know, faith, you cannot have faith and fear at the same time. It just doesn't work that way. You're either believing and taking action or you're stagnant.
Right? There's not really an in -between. And it doesn't matter. I had a good discussion with my mentor group this week about it. Your action doesn't always have to be like massive, big leaps and bounds kind of action. Your action can be something kind of small depending on the season of life you're in. And you guys were all humans. There's no like.
There's no magic formula that's going to solve like all of our problems with no effort. Everything takes effort and that's where your action comes in. And, um, I've mentioned this book club that I'm a part of, um, several times over the course of the show. And it has been so influential in changing my thinking that and this mentor group, this group of friends that I have that are.
on a similar journey. There's no substitute for having that type of energy in your circle. And that doesn't mean that nobody ever has a bad day or whatever. But what that does mean is when you encounter those obstacles, you have that default way of thinking to help you through the obstacles.
And so, like I say, we don't have unrealistic expectations. We are all human subject to our human emotions and, you know, our own choices and the consequences of those. And, you know, the circumstantial stuff that we don't control necessarily. That's all part of our...
training the way we think. And that's why I love this anxiety versus action concept so much is because we can allow ourselves to get bogged down and never take the step because the risk is too scary. Why is the risk too scary? What makes it scary? It's because you don't, maybe you don't know the outcome and you won't until you do the thing, right? But what can you do to...
Minimize the risk or to alleviate the anxiety and I guarantee you if you're looking at starting a business just As is you've never looked into it before that could be a little scary because there's oh there's taxes and there's you know Am I gonna grow to where I have to hire employees? What if I don't grow? Like can I do this by myself? Do I want to do this by myself? Oh, that seems like a lot of work You know what I'm saying? There's all of these what ifs?
when you're standing here thinking about it. But you say, hey, I want to start a business and thinking up that business name, that's fun and that's action. And that helps you feel a little more confident, right? Because, wow, I, you know, I landed on Ranch Ramblin for my podcast and my first book. And that felt really good. And you want to know what that title did?
was it inspired me to think about the direction I was going with each of these projects. And once you start that, your brain starts thinking about the possibilities. And this is just one example of how that teeny tiny action can.
get you out of that stale, stagnant mode and propel your action even further and then the anxiety gets less and less, right? So back to the business example, you get freaked out at whatever, but then you start looking into it like, what can I act like? No, I can do this. I can teach lessons. Cool. So this is what I'm going to do. Here's my tentative plan. This could work scheduling wise. This could work blah, blah, blah. And all of a sudden it doesn't seem scary.
Anymore because you've taken the action to plan it out whether it was feasible at the beginning or not You've now found a way that was just a few adjustments you can make it completely work for your life right and it's it's like that with everything and the more that we
Sorry, you'll hear Lottie in the background right here. The more action that we take, the less and less anxiety we feel and the more empowered we feel. And then the how doesn't matter because our belief is then so big. And that is the ultimate goal where we're trying to get to is the how is none of our business. And my mentors remind me of that all the time. And again, I'm going to circle around to what do you, the people that are,
around you most often, when you get bound up in this anxiety or the what ifs and the oh no can I and the negative unbeliefs in yourself, what does your circle tell you?
You know, does your circle tell you, hey, how does it matter? Build your belief. Remember why you're doing this. You know, you can do this if you put your mind to it. You got to get your mind right and start taking action and the rest is going to fall into place. It's amazing how God works that way, you guys. When, when you decide that you want something and you make that, you know, you make that decision and
I'm a praying person, so I always pray about it. And, you know, I believe that you can't say, God, tell me where to go. I mean, you can. But God wants us to think this out, too. We got to put the effort in and God matches the effort, right? So God's not going to just hand us stuff on a silver platter without us having the faith and the belief and then.
putting in the effort, our own selves to make it happen. God will match our effort and he will meet us. But we have got to put that effort in first. And you know, he can't bless us unless we include him and ask and then put that effort in and believe that it's gonna happen. And so I love that about this mindset is...
You can't have the faith and fear at the same time. So build your faith and If you if you feel like you're struggling a little bit in that department start small, you know You don't have to you don't have to move a mountain today, but you can pick up a rock right like use that analogy as far as growing your growing your belief building your faith and it's
It's kind of in a different direction than I thought it was going to but that's why I love this so much and you guys never get anything but real me here on the podcast. So it's what keeps coming to my mind is a song that we sing as children in church. My daughter was actually singing it the other day and it talks about faith being like a seed and
It's true. You can't just plant it and then walk away. You've got to nurture the seed. You have to nurture your faith. You have to work on increasing your faith. It doesn't just magically grow. And what does that is action. You know what I'm saying? You've got to take the action. And so this is so cool because...
I just love this because we don't have to live in anxiety, missing out on opportunity because we were afraid. Right? We have the ability to grow our faith, to take the action and make the thing happen. And maybe where we start is not...
the end result, but that's what's so beautiful about our life and our decisions is you're not a failure if you pivot, right? You might start out with this awesome idea that feels really good and it gets you started, but then as you go, as you go, as you do take the action, you become more and more clear on maybe what it is that you're supposed to do or maybe a different, you,
Identify a little more clearly what it is that you're you're trying to accomplish and what you're trying to do and You know who you're trying to serve and that's what's so cool is There is nothing wrong with a pivot a pivot can be so powerful and the pivot can be the thing That entirely changes your life and it all starts when you take action You don't have to know what you're doing or where you're going or how you're gonna get there You have to believe that you can do it and then be willing to put the effort in
to learn and study and work and then it'll be cool what unfolds for you and where you end up versus where you thought you were going because that's what I have found in a lot of my endeavors in life is sometimes...
The end result, the overall end result might be what you want.
Your end result might be the same, but how you got there might look entirely different than what you had anticipated. And that's what's so cool. And I just want to share, again, as part of the book club, this is from... Let me find it. This is from Thinking Girl Rich, which is Napoleon Hill. And you guys, I have too many notes going on on my phone and computer and whatever.
Oh, this is not the one I was planning on sharing, but it actually works. You are the one who has to do the work followed by faith is the art of believing. So the one I was wanting to share was that one about you're the one that has to do the work. You can hire a coach, you can hire, you know, mentors and listen to audios and study all these courses and all these things. But at the end of the day, none of that.
any good to you at all unless you do the work and then that other that other quote faith is the art of belief I love that just because that's what it is and Anyways, this has just been Said this has been some ramblings of the day and I love I just love this because I feel in society I
Especially as moms, we might feel a little bound up in what's the right next step and you know, what if this doesn't work out? And we put so much pressure on the how and the what and the where and the details in between that we create so much anxiety that doesn't need to be there and that's completely unnecessary. If you have an idea that you would love to pursue, if it lights a fire in you,
then do it. Like that's how God works, you know? I believe that we can get inspiration for ourselves from our Heavenly Father in various forms. It can come from another person, it can come from a thought, it can come from, you know, this idea. But if it makes you excited and if it fires you up and you think like, wow, this would be cool, it's worth looking at.
And then don't get bogged up with those details in between because those don't matter. Just start, take the action. If you've got to hire the coach, if you've got to, I mean, heck, message me, bounce some ideas off of me. I, that's one of my very favorite things is to brainstorm with people. Um, and I mean, like, just, just start somehow if you want to do it, it's possible. And, and the how will work itself out.
the minute you start to take action and continue to take action and think about it and dream about it and build the plan in your mind. And if you have to adjust the plan, that's even better because you learned something really freaking cool along the way. And what you will actually end up with is just more enriched by.
the pivots along the way. And with that, I'm going to end my rambling because y 'all know I could be here all day long talking about things like this that fire me up and pump me up. But since it's come up several times in this episode today, I do just want to remind you all that I have an open invite to the book club I'm a part of. You all are invited to check it out and see if it's something you would enjoy doing weekly or even
when you think about it, if it's not something you're ready to commit to weekly. That book club has been so cool as far as changing my thinking to... I wouldn't say I was a negative person before, but as far as risk and possibility and opportunity and taking chances, this has completely transformed the way I think as far as that goes and...
as far as the way I speak to other people about their ideas. And that's been really, really cool. So I'd love to have you there. Just email me tmranchramblen at gmail .com. I can get you the info. It's just a Zoom call, 30 minutes every Saturday. You can read the chapter or you can just listen to the call or you can study it along with us, but it's well worth the 30 minutes. Anyways, I would love to have you all there.
With that, I'm gonna wrap it up and I just wanna say thank you all for hanging with me, for listening. There are some big things coming that I am so excited to have you all be a part of and I'm just, I'm really, I'm stoked for where this is going. So thank you all again. Have a great weekend. You know, rest of your week. We'll see you next week on the next episode and until then, don't.
Cut your dally's on the dream.
