RRRR
Hey hey everybody, welcome to Ranch Ramblin', the Cowboy Gals podcast. I'm Tucker, the Cowboy Gal behind the podcast, and I am just super excited that you're here. If you're new here, welcome, welcome. I just want to do a quick rundown real quick. My goal with this podcast is to provide a community of women, ranch women, horse girls.
ranch moms, you know, rodeo moms, or if you're a cowgirl at heart, we want you to feel welcome here as well. This is a place where we share our stories and hopefully by doing that we give someone else the courage to share theirs and step out, live big, and really become the version of themselves they're meant to be.
So with that, I'm just ready to get into this episode. This is kind of a little bit of a catch-up episode. I just, you know, I feel sometimes that life just happens and sometimes...
we can end up feeling a little bit overwhelmed and we lose a little bit of that fire, that spark, the dedication, motivation, whatever it is. Sometimes we lose a little bit of that because we lose sight of what it is that we're doing. And I just, you know, I mentioned a couple times our family just made a big move and
I'm not gonna lie, that was kind of hard. It's an adjustment, you know, and even though this was a move that we knew was the right move for our family, it definitely, you know, you leave behind a life. And anyway, so that was kind of, that's been an interesting few weeks for us to make that shift and, you know, jump into our new lives here.
It's been really cool too though. There's been a lot of opportunities pop up for us that you know had kind of been on the dream board as you know, oh one day and one day is a lot sooner than you think sometimes you guys and that's a little bit of and what I wanted to touch on today is that
There's opportunity out there all the time. I think it was, I think it's a quote by Thomas Edison. I might be saying the wrong person. This is what you get when you wing conversations. Anyways, it's the quote that says, opportunity is missed because it looks, it's where it wears overalls and looks like work. I love that because.
It's so true, you guys, we're praying for the opportunity, right? We're praying for the next big thing or for the step. We're like, like, is this the right move? You know, and we're praying for that thing for our families. And we act all confused when it takes some effort, you know? And I just feel...
like anything worthwhile takes time. anything worth you know investing in or with an outcome that's going to change your life that takes work and there are ways we can make this a lot easier on ourselves or a lot more difficult and i don't know about you but i don't want to make anything more difficult than it has to be right and
And so as we go about life, you guys, we have the decision to choose how we react to the situations we find ourselves in. And amid whatever is going on, we can choose to find the joy, find the happiness, find the growth where we are, even if it's a little bit messy. And especially if it doesn't look like we think it's supposed to look.
right? And so that's, I had something, I'm gonna share a story real quick. I had something kind of cool happen. We were here, so like the big like move part was done, but you know how it is. It takes a little bit to settle into your new routine and I mean like we unloaded everything
I'm like, uh, yeah, all my girls' church dresses are in the Connex, right? It's like Sunday morning, time for church, and I'm like, did I not pull out any dresses? Anyways, you know, things like that, it takes a minute to settle into your new, you know, situation. And so all of this was going on, and I just, you know, Timmy and I were doing really good at just, you know, one step at a time, like we're enjoying it.
looking forward to this or looking forward to that and really trying to keep on that positive, that positive side of things and not get sucked into the stress of, you know, the stress potential of the situation. What's awesome is, Timmy's always been a really positive guy and I've always tried to be super positive. But what's awesome is with...
some different things that we've had going over the last year and a half or so.
that looking on the bright side, you know, staying positive, just kind of shutting down any negative negativity has become more natural than it has been for us in a very long time. And it's really cool because the point of all this that I'm telling you is someone told me like they're like, hey, how are you not getting, you know, like overwhelmed and whacked out with?
everything that's going on. And I didn't, I hadn't really realized that I was doing that or that we were doing that until this was brought to my attention and I was like, you know, like we actually are feeling really good. Like we're feeling more or less in control, you know, and, and happy with where we were and excited for where we're going. And, and we got to thinking about that and
there's a few things that I came to the conclusion that are responsible for that. And, you know, first and foremost is that we pray, you know, and that's something that's huge in our lives. But an answer that has happened for us over the last couple of years has been a business
that we started together. And through that business, it has enabled us to practice the positive mindset, the growth mindset, and all of these good, positive attributes that I admire in so many other people. We've actually had the opportunity to work on those with ourselves.
that has been freaking amazing and it's just really fun to chat with people and talk with people and when you have those little light bulb moments about like holy crap look at how far we've come. Like look at where I'm at versus where I could be and that just was
That was really cool for us to look at and realize that like, hey look, this is paying off. Like our living the way we want to be is making us become those people. And that's the coolest thing you guys is no matter what our situation is, no matter what's happening around you or the circumstances that are out of your control, you can always control.
how you react to those things and the action you take on the other side. And that's what's so cool is that is entirely in her power. And so we can choose as people to become victims of our circumstance or to freaking put a loop on it you guys and trip the sucker. You know what I mean? Like we can decide.
to use any opposition as a stepping stone. It's all in that decision. It's all in that mindset. It's all in putting the faith in God that you are where you're supposed to be in. When you start looking at it that way, it's a total perspective shifter. And um...
You know, a really good friend and mentor of mine, I'm working on some goals, business-wise, and he's like, alright, so this is your goal. So when you are, you know, at this goal, what, how are you going to act? How are you going to talk to people? What would you do differently when you reach this goal than you are right now?
And when he said that, I'm like, wow, I wouldn't be afraid to, you know, call anybody on the phone. I wouldn't be afraid to do this or do that or, you know, I had a list of stuff. And he's like, okay, so start doing those things and you're going to reach the goal. Which when you lay it out like that sounds super, super simple, right? But it's all about that mindset. It's all about how bad...
do you want to get where you're going? Or are you content to sit on the fence? And I am not a fence sitter, I never have been. I've made a lot of rash decisions for the sake of making a decision, but from a real, from a really early age, I was like, I am not going to be one of those people that can't make a decision.
and so the decision might take you a different direction than you want but you dang sure made it and you know go with it because you can always take more action right like there's always another step to take and that's what's so cool and um i just i really love that conversation with this mentor because
He's like, all right, so this is what you want. We'll start acting like you have it. Not in a superficial way, but really deep down inside, what are you going to have, what's the kind of person you're gonna have to become to achieve that goal? And I think you can apply that to your personal development, to business, because it's all to life, your family.
because everything goes hand in hand. And that's what's so freaking cool about all the things I have going on right now, because they're all braided together in this really cool way that is just compounding. That makes me so excited to talk about, because I see it happening for other people, and that's something that
I did not realize I loved. And all of this rambling, you guys, it comes down to...
your ability to make the choice in what action you take, how you react to the external circumstances around you. You know, you can choose to stay where you're at if you are just content with being content, or you can have five seconds of insane courage, freaking, take a step, step out there, and make something happen.
So.
I know that was a little bit of a rambly rambling, but I get so pumped up about these different things that go on in my head that I'm like, I just feel like I need to talk about them. But anyways, there's that you guys. Thank you so much for being here. I would love to hear your input. So please email me tmranchrambling at gmail.com with any comments, suggestions, anything like that. As always, shares are appreciated.
